FITNESS CLUB RECEPTION, SINTRA

Remodeling the fitness club Energy reception, in Sintra, was a major challenge in restructuring the functionality of this equipment services, and to improve the comfort of employees and users, refreshing the brand image at the point of arrival and host.

The existing reception presented wear in its image, obsolete materials and non-functionality of the space. These revealed a lack of connection and optimization, not only in the organization of work and service, but also, the physical separation of the administrative area to the business part.

The interior layout did not flow and this disturbed the working capacity and efficiency of hosting.

This case study went beyond to the analysis of use of areas by users, employees and suppliers. The interaction between multiple users, how each one uses the spaces, how the customer is welcomed and how the shop of sports goods is stimulated, investigating these further gave us the necessary data for the principles of intervention.

The interior design, informed by the assessment of spaces, optimized the areas of intervention and return a reception area to the fitness club that would generate a recognized pinpoint for each user. The proposal was marked by the separation of uses (private / public) and the integration of a layout to respond to the needs of each function.

We chose a simple design, by two-front service desks and a disclosing information panel, that from the entrance the user is visually forward to the information point.

The waiting area has integrated seats and spotlights and seating area, is positioned to have the shop area as a background to enhance the sales.

The service area is designed to include a fully integrated office and the heights of the various working levels are in line with ergonomic principles.

The concept of motivating physical activity is evident in the inspiring images of an active lifestyle in feature walls. The colors chosen reflect the message of the branding, to pursue the proactivity and physical exercise.
